1 month sustainable design challenge in China at Hape International Toys, one of the largest makers of sustainable bamboo wooden toys. Designers from different specializations worked together collaboratively, to concept, design, collaborate, and make prototypes of possibilities for children’s play. Weekly design critiques helped us to refine our concepts as we worked towards final toys in package to present to the CEO of Hape.

Situated in China, working at Hape onsite was unique and unforgettable experience.  An opportunity to interact with people of different nationalities, disciplines, tour factories and become familiar with modes and methods of production, and also just to enjoy the very unique diversity of landscapes and living modes of china, from the bamboo forests of Anji, to the rural countrysides, to the bustling cities of Ningbo and Hungzhao.
